Women's Wrestling Splits Pair of Duals Nov. 3 at Home

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College split a pair of women's wrestling matches this afternoon at home, beating Brewton Parker College 34-8 before falling 40-5 ro King University.

THE BASICS
In the Brewton Parker match, the Panthers opened with three forfeit wins, Autmn Potkay posted a technical fall and Katrina Anderson secured a pin to spot Ferrum with an insurmountable 24-0 lead.

Ferrum then dropped nine matches to open the match with King, avoicing the shutout when Leya Deickman posted a pin in the 191 pound weight classto close out the day.

BACK ON THE MAT
Coach Jessica Medina's team will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 10, at King in Bristol, Tennessee. The Panthers will then travel to Marshall, Missouri, to compete in the Missouri Valley Open Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18.
