It was a tale of two matches for the Panthers on the road Thursday night. After falling behind 2-0, the Panthers answered the call to force a fifth and final set. Unfortunately, it was not enough for the Panthers in the end, as they fell 15-9nin the deciding set.

It was a full team effort for the Panthers, as coach Ruthanne Duffy relied on her full squad to compete in this one. Layura Henley led the Panthers in both the kills department (7) and also the digs department (21). Halee Bly had a good showing in her return to the lineup, recording six kills of her own. Arielle Tritt notched a whopping 16 assists, with Ashley Roberts helping the cause with ten of her own. Chemaiya Jordan was a force around the net, sporting three solo blocks and three block assists.

"Despite the outcome, I am proud of our team for fighting back after being down 0-2 tonight. They showed some fire out there, we just need to be able to get over the hump and finish strong at the end after working so hard to get to that last set." --Head Coach Ruthanne Duffy

Coach Duffy's team will be back in action Tuesday, October 8 to take on an ODAC foe in the form of Shenandoah University. The road contest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start inside the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletic and Events Center.
