Panthers Get First ODAC Volleyball Win

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference volleyball win this afternoon at home, beating Emory & Henry College 3-0 at Swartz Gym. Set scores were 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.

Emory & Henry (5-17, 2-7 ODAC)

THE BASICS
Ferrum outscored Emory & Henry 7-5 down the stretch to win the opening set, then jumped out to a 16-8 lead and hung on to take the second. Ferrum trailed 10-8 in the third set, but used a 17-12 run, including Mikayla Holland's kill to close out the match.

BACK ON COURT
Coach Ruthanne Duffy's team will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20, in an ODAC tri-meet at Roanoke College with Randolph-Macon College. The Panthers face the host Maroons at 11:00 a.m., then take on Randolph-Macon at 1:00 p.m.
