BEHIND THE WHISTLE
"We've been struggling lately to play a full 90 minute game with heart, passion, and competitive spirit. Tonight the team took ownership and battled all 90 minutes, and I'm proud of them. They gave everything they had, and that's all anyone can ask. Lynchburg scored four brilliant goals, that's what it should take to beat us. Besides the heart the team played with, everyone played with courage. We played our brand of soccer. That's more risky than the kick and run game we lapsed into over the last few weeks, so I feel good about this game, and I'm excited to compete in the postseason and have the opportunity to write our own history." -- Head Coach James Lofton
Lofton's team will host a play-in game for the 2018 ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Ferrum is the #8 seed and will host #9 Randolph College Monday, Oct. 29. Game time has not yet been set.
