BEHIND THE WHISTLE
"I'm proud of the team. The message this week has been about response and resilience. It was important that we respond to our last performance, and that we take the lessons from that tough experience and use them to become a better and tougher team. I think the team did that. Today our aim was to come out and play 90 minutes with a competitive spirit - something that I felt was lacking last weekend - and I'm happy with the competitive spirit of the program today. Without great effort, energy, communication, and competitiveness, we wouldn't have been able to walk away with a result we were happy about. But the team played with all those things, and it gave us a chance to finish the game in the right way. It showed a lot of character from the team to come back from a deficit. I told the team before that game that we are competing with ourselves to play as well as we are capable of playing. We're still in that competition. We need to shore up our defense and strive to improve our goal-scoring ability to be the team we want to be at the end of the season." -- Head Coach James Lofton

NEXT GAME
Coach James Loften's team will play at Hollins University Friday, October 12. The ODAC game gets underway at 2:00 p.m. in Roanoke, Virgina.
