BEHIND THE WHISTLE
"I thought it was a game of two halves. Credit should go to SVU for playing with such intensity and pressing us out of the gate. In the second half, our team did a much better job of playing with composure, moving off the ball, and breaking the press. More importantly, we were able to sustain a high level of energy and effort and that took every single player on our team, on and off the field. If everyone is willing to sacrifice and put individual priorities as secondary to the good of the team as a whole, then the whole program will benefit. It's a lot to ask of anybody, but it's a great group that is capable of remarkable things. And it's the only way to move forward and realize our potential as we move into the meat of our season." -- Head Coach James Lofton
