"I am incredibly proud of the team's competitive spirit in the final third of the game. We need to strive for consistency now. We're battling a little bit of post preseason malaise. We had four key players out with injuries and two more who played through flu-like symptoms. We need to get healthy moving forward, that will help. But I think it's great to experience adversity and battle through. I want to highlight one performance in particular. Cayla Berry was sick the whole day. For her to put in the performance she did and score one goal while contributing to the other is remarkable. We talk about giving your very best everyday, and she among others did that today." -- Head Coach James Lofton
Coach James Lofton's team will be back in action Friday, Sept. 7, at home against Salem College. The non-conference game is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field.
