DANVILLE, Va. -- #25 Ferrum College rallied from a 13-7 deficit with five straight wins in posting a 32-13 comeback win over Averett University in men's wrestling action tonight at the Grant Center.
Averett jumped out to an 8-4 lead after three matches with a pair of major decisions at 125 and 141. Ferrum's Levi Englmen (133) had a major decision. The Panthers closed the gap to 8-7 when Caden Dalton (149) posted a decision, but Averett's Jared Lough secured a second-period technical fall at 157 and the Cougars led 13-7 after the first five matches.
The Panthers roared back, reelng off five straight wins to secure their 11th win of the season. Christian Hite (165) started the comeback with a decision to close the gap to 13-10, then Andrew Tolbert (174) had a pin to give Ferrum its first lead at 16-13. Blake Rosenbaum (184) kept it rolling with a major decision to widen the gap to 20-13, then Braden Homsey (197) and Tyrique Nolen (285) capped the night with back-to-back pins to help Ferrum finish the match with a 25-0 run.

Coach Nate Yetzer's team will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Southeast Wrestling Conference Tournament, being hosted by Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. Also competing with Ferrum and Huntington will be Averett, Greensboro College, University of the Ozarks and Southern Virginia University.
