Ferrum Women Can't Keep Pace with Quakers

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game tonight at home to Guilford College, falling 21-12 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Guilford (6-6, 1-4 ODAC)
Ferrum (3-9, 0-5 ODAC)

Guilford jumped out to the early 3-0 lead, but Ferrum settled in and saw Kaitlyn Harley, Micaela Havvey and Megan Allen each score a goals to make it a 4-3 game.

The Quakers went on a 9-2 run to close the first half up 13-5.

In the second half, the Panthers battled back and trimmed the lead to 17-12 on a pair of goals by Harley, only to see Guilford close the game with four unanswered goals.

Coach Karen Harvey's team will be back in action Sunday, April 14, at home against Shenandoah University. The ODAC game is set for 2:00 p.m. at W.B. Adams Stadium.
