LYNCHBURG, Va. -- University of Lynchburg posted an Old Dominion Athletic Conference win over Ferrum College, winning 21-4 this afternoon at Shellenberger Field.

Lynchburg scored early and often, opening an 8-0 lead in the first 8:49 of play. Kaitlyn Harley scored the first of her two goals at the 18:20 mark of the first half, then Micaela Harvey added a goal at 17:14 to make the score 8-1.
The Hornets added four more goals before the end of the half to take a 12-2 lead into the break.
The lead grew to 16-2 with four more Lynchburg goals to open the second half, then Ferrum answered with a goal each by Reagan Aldridge and Harley to close the gap to 16-4. Lynchburg then closed the game out with five unanswered goals.

Coach Karen Harvey's team will be back in action Wednesday, April 10, at home against Guilford College. The ODAC game is set for a 7:00 p.m. start at W.B. Adams Stadium.
