Earlham Hands Ferrum 17-6 Women's Lacrosse Setback

FERRUM, Va. -- Earlham College beat Ferrum College in non-conference women's lacrosse action tonight, winning 17-6 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Earlham jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never trailed. Emma Lady had three of the goals and assisted on the other three. Kaitlyn Harley broke up the shutout with an unassisted goal at 13:04 of the first half.

The Panthers trailed 10-1 at the break, but scored the first two goals of the second half to cut it to 10-3. The Quakers responded with four straight to put the game out of reach at 14-3 with just under 15 minutes left to play.

Coach Karen Harvey's team will be back in action Wednesday, March 20, at home against Sweet Briar College. The non-conference game is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
