Lions Beat Ferrum 16-4 in Women's Lacrosse

DEMOREST, Ga. -- Piedmont College scored early and often en route to a 16-4 USA South Athletic Conference women's lacrosse win over Ferrum Collage this afternoon at Walker Athletic Complex.

Piedmont (8-4, 2-1 USA South), Ferrum (3-7, 1-3 USA South)

How It Happened
The Lions scored first on Kayla Jones' free position shot less than two minutes into the game. Audrey Ramsey answered for Ferrum with an unassisted goal at 25:52. Mckynsey Tyler made it 2-1 Piedmont at 21:36, then Ferrum's Julianne Bove tied the game at 2-2 with an unassisted goal at 19:18. The Lions erupted for 11 unanswered goals for a 13-2 halftime lead and the rout was on. Meghin Martin and Haley Overstreet each tallied a goal in the second half.
