How It Happened
Ferrum jumped out to a 7-0 lead on two goals each by Bove and Haley Overstreet, and a goal each by Jacklyn Prillaman, Audrey Ramsey and Kiani Mohica. Ferrum took a 10-5 lead into halftime, but LaGrange would not roll over, using a 4-2 run to get within three goals at 12-9 with just over 11 minutes left to play. The two teams, both Panthers, traded goals the rest of the game for the final count.
