FERRUM, Va. -- Jacy Marvin had 16 points, including four three-pointers, but Ferrum College fell 67-63 tonight at home to Lynchburg College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's basketball play at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Ferrum 17-10 after the first period, only to the the Hornets storm back to take the second 22-12 and grab a 32-29 lead at the break. Molly Shephard sank a pair of free throws at 8:17 of the fourth period to give Lynchburg its biggest lead at 60-47. Ferrum used a furious rally over the next eight minutes to cut the lead to 66-63 on Maggie Self's three-pointer with 10 seconds left in regulation, but the Hornets hung on from there.
