Ferrum and Greensboro are locked in a three-way tie with Christopher Newport University for first place in the USA South Athletic Conference standings. All three are 12-2 in the USA South. Ferrum and Christopher Newport are 17-4 overall, while Greensboro is 17-3. Tip-off tonight is set for 5:30 p.m. in Hanes Gymnasium, and our broadcast will begin at 5:20 p.m.
In the first meeting this season between Ferrum and Greensboro, January 11 at Swartz Gym, the Panthers picked up an 81-69 win over the Pride. Greensboro at the time was ranked #20 in the nation. RECAP BOX
Kristen Keith had a game-high 22 points in the win, shooting 7-9 from the floor. Keith added 11 rebounds and three blocked shots, both of which were also game-high totals. Tesla Akers had 21 points, Jacole Hairston had 11 points and Kayla Goins had 10 points.
Greensboro was led by Adrienne Terrell and Danielle Duncan, who had 19 and 16 points, respectively. Jena Cage had 13 points, while Bianca Richburg had 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
