HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped three Old Dominion Athletic Conference swim meets this afternoon at Hampden-Sydney College, with the men falling to the host Tigers and Roanoke Colege, and the women losing to Roanoke.
Women: Roanoke 157, Ferrum 27
Men: Roanoke 168, Ferrum 20
Men: Hampden-Sydney 165, Ferrum 23
Hunter Tharpe posted the women's top performance, finishing second in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 50 freestyle. Katie Shoaf earned a pair of third-place finishes in the 200 freetsyle and 200 freestyle, and Caroline Saalweachter was fourth in the 100 backstroke. On the men's side, Taylor Darnell posted the best performance of the day for the Panthers when he finished fourth in the 400 freestyle.
BACK IN THE POOL
Coach Margaret Parcell's teams will be back in action Friday through Sunday, Feb. 15-17, at the ODAC Championships, to be held at Greensboro Aquatic Center in North Carolina.
