Maroons Top Ferrum 7-2 in ODAC Men's Tennis

SALEM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's tennis match to Roanoke College, falling 7-2 this afternoon on the road.

Roanoke (5-5, 3-1 ODAC)
Ferrum (3-8, 1-5 ODAC)

Roanoke took two of three doubles matches to grab the early 2-1 lead. Marshall Ownby and David Bishop won in the #3 doubles spot for the Panthers by forfeit. The Maroons also won five of six singles matches, all in straight sets. Houston Murphy won at #6 singles for Ferrum by forfeit.

Coach Rod Baker's team will be back in action Tuesday, April 2, at Washington & Lee University. The ODAC match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start in Lexington, Virginia.
