Ferrum Men Beat Randolph 5-4

FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's tennis team picked up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference win over Randolph College this afternoon at home, winning 5-4 at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

Ferrum (1-1, 1-1 ODAC)
Randolph (0-3, 0-1 ODAC)

Ferrum grabbed the early 2-1 lead after doubles when the #2 team of Jacob Glass and Patrick Marsh and #3 team of Marshall Ownby and David Bishop both won.

Houston Murphy, Marsh and Glass then won in the #4-6 singles spots, respectively, to clinch the match. The win snapped Ferrum's 19-match losing streak dating back to the end of the 2016-17 season.

Coach Rod Baker's team will host Hampden-Sydney College Thursday, Feb. 28. The ODAC match is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.
