HAMPDON-SYDNEY, Virginia -- The Ferrum College men came up short in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference road contest, losing 4-1 to Hampden-Sydney College at Hellmuth-Gibson Field Saturday night.

Hampden-Sydney (9-5-1, 4-0-1 ODAC)
Hampden-Sydney would open the score line in the one when Cole Burton would find the back of the net from a Spell Carr pass in the 17th minute. The Panthers would answer right back just five minutes later as Chris Resendiz would score his second goal in as many matches. Felipe Artega was credited with the assist on the play.
The Tigers would answer right back when Eli Strong bested the Panther keeper in the 34th minute to give Hampden-Sydney the 2-1 advantage. Jon Vargara and Sean McMurray would both earn an assist on the goal.
The second and final stanza would see the Tigers add two more goals, Jacob Mann in the 47th minute on Carr's second assist in the contest and Cole Burton in the 50th minute to round out the scoring in the ODAC affair. Ian Connor would earn the win in the net for Hampden-Sydney, recording five saves. Simon Bradford made his debut as the Panther netminder, notching six saves in the losing effort.
Coach Enda Crehan's squad will be back in action Wednesday, October 23 under the lights at Penn-Roediger Field, taking on Bridgewater College in a home ODAC matchup. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
