Maroons Nip Ferrum 1-0 in ODAC Men's Soccer

SALEM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's soccer match to Roanoke College tonight on the road, falling 1-0 at Kerr Stadium. The match featured an hour and 20 minute rain delay in the first half.

Roanoke (7-3-2, 3-1-2 ODAC)
Ferrum (8-4, 4-3 ODAC)

Alec Taitague broke a scoreless tie when he recorded the only goal on the night in the 74th minute of play, and Roanoke's defense did the rest to preserve the shutout. The two teams tied 10-10 in shots and 6-6 in corner kicks.

Ferrum: GK Derek Thomas 90 min, 5 saves

Coach Enda Crehan's team will be back in action Sunday, Oct. 14, at home against Mid-Atlantic Christian University. The non-conference game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
