Royals Hold Off Ferrum Men

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men;'s soccer team lost its bid to post the school's first Old Dominion Athletic Conference win, falling 2-0 to visiting Eastern Mennonite University tonight at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
Dominic Powers scored 2:15 in the game for Eastern Mennonite and the Royals held the 1-0 lead through halftime. The two teams each had multiple scoring opportunities in the second half, but it wasn't until the final minute of regulation that Juan Vazquez scored an insurance goal for the Royals when he raced down the left side, took a pass from Troy Davis and popped it over Ferrum goalkeeper Derek Thomas.
