HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Ferrum College suffered a 17-7 loss to Hampden-Sydney College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's lacrosse play this afternoon at Everett Stadium.

Hampden-Sydney jumped out to a 4-0 lead off two goals each by Sean Duffy and Jared Medwar. Mackoy Bodmer scored the first of his two goals for Ferrum at 7:52 of the first quarter.
Bodmer would score again at 6:44 of the first quarter, then Ronald Carney rifled a shot into the back of the cage at 3:03 to close out the quarter with a 7-3 HSC lead.
The Tigers used an 8-0 run following halftimeto build a commanding 15-3 lead, including a 6-0 run in the second quarter. Jacob Boswell scored a pair of goals in the second half, while Jack Sheehan and Cam Steeley netted a goal each. Hampden-Sydney closed the game with a 51-26 shot advantage.
