FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's lacrosse team earned its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference win this season with tonight's 15-9 win over visiting Randolph College at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Ferrum (2-13, 1-7 ODAC)
Randolph (3-11, 0-7 ODAC)

Ferrum led wire-to-wire in earning the program's first ODAC win. The Panthers opened a 3-0 lead eight minutes into the game on a goal each by Mackoy Bodmer, Cam Steeley and Ronald Carney.

Sean Landis got the WildCats on the scoreboard to trim the lead to 3-1, but Ferrum upped the lead top 9-5 at the break with a 6-4 run to close out the first half.

Randolph responded with a 5-1 run to make it a 10-9 game with 8:45 left in the third quarter. Ferrum then closed the game with five unanswered goals, including two of Carney's game-high five goals.

Coach Mike Baggetta's team will be back in action Saturday, April 20, at Hampden-Sydney College. The ODAC game is scheduled for a noon start in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia.
