Men's Lacrosse Drops ODAC Game on the Road

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's lacrosse team lost to University of Lynchburg in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play, falling 22-4 Tuesday, April 2, at Shellenberger Field.

Lynchburg (7-4, 4-0 ODAC)
Ferrum (1-10, 0-4 ODAC)

Lynchburg jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the 6:19 mark of the first quarter. Mackoy Bodmer broke up the shutout with an unassisted goal at 5:30. The Hornets responded with an 8-0 run through the middle of the second quarter to widen the lead to 12-1.

Bodmer scored his second goal of the game at 5:28 of the second quarter, this time with Ferrum down a man. Lynchburg punched three more goals in to make it a 15-2 game at the break. Cam Steely scored for the Panthers at 8:18 of the third quarter, and Jack Sheehan put one in at 4:57 of the fourth to round out Ferrum's scoring.

Coach Mike Bagetta's team will be back in action Saturday, April 6, at home against Guilford College. The ODAC game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start at W.B. Adams Stadium.
