MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Ferrum College lost to Pfeiffer University in non-conference men's lacrosse tonight on the road, falling 14-7 at Lefko Field.

Ferrum jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Mackoy Bodmer and Austin Nowlin in the first quarter. John Allen punched in a pair of goals for the Falcons to tie the game.

The two teams traded goals to reach a 4-4 deadlock with 9:33 left in the second quarter, then Pfeiffer scored two more to take a 6-4 lead into the break.

The Panthers got as close as 7-6 in the third quarter on Cam Steeley's unassisted goal at 8:44, only to see the Falcons close it out with a 7-1 run down the stretch for the win.

Coach Mike Baggetta's team will return to action Tuesday, April 2, at University of Lynchburg. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference game is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia.
