SMOKE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Ferrum College's men's golf team closed out play at the 2019 Discover Dekalb Emory University Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, at the Par 71, 6365-yard Smoke Rise Country Club.

Huntingdon College won the team title at 865, 13 strokes better than runner-up and host Emory (878), while Guilford College (880) finished third. Ferrum (1029) finished last in a field of 14 teams.
Huntingdon's Stephan Shephard earned medalist honors with a three-round score of 211. Shephard was three strokes better that Oglethorpe's Jacob Arnett (214) and Guilford's James Mishow (214). Ferrum All-American Lance Keiser finished nine strokes off the lead at 220 and wound up in a four-way for 14th place in a field of 82 individuals.
