SALEM, Va. -- Ferrum College trailed by two points at the break, but saw Roanoke College use a 50-38 second half to pull away in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference mens basketball game tonight at the Cregger Center.
Roanoke (6-2, 2-0 ODAC)
Ferrum (1-8, 0-3 ODAC)
Ferrum led 20-11 on Marcuss Huff's layup at 11:34 of the first half. The Maroons responded with a 13-3 run over the next five and a half minutes to grab a 24-23 lead.
The two teams played even through the rest of the first half, with Roanoke going out in front 32-30 on Josh Freund's layup just seconds before the break. Marcus Huff's three-pointer at 19:06 of the second half tied the game at 33-33. Roanoke erupted with a 17-3 run over the next five minutes to break the game open and Ferrum had no answer.

Coach Tyler Sanborn's team will be back in action Sunday, Dec. 10, at Hampden-Sydney College. The ODAC game is scheduled to tip off at 2:00 p.m. in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia.
