FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a 76-60 non-conference men's basketball game to host University of Mary Washington in second-day action of the 2018 Hyatt Place Tip-Off Classic this afternoon at Ron Rosner Arena.

Mary Washington (3-0)
Ferrum (0-4)

The first half included eight ties or lead changes. The two teams were tied 23-23 with 7:45 left when Mary Washington went on a 19-6 run to grab a 42-29 halftime lead.

Ferrum could get no closer than 11 points in the second half. The Eagles led 47-33 at the 17:49 mark, then used a 17-1 run to break it open and take a 64-34 lead at the 12-minute mark. Senior Marcus Huff had a season-high 19 points for Ferrum.

Coach Tyler Sanborn's team will be back in action Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Randolph-Macon College. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off in Ashland, Virginia.
