FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team dropped a non-conference game to North Carolina Wesleyan College this afternoon at the Hyatt Place Tip-Off Tournament, falling 68-49 at University of Mary Washington's Ron Rosner Arena.

The Bishops led 19-4 less than eight minutes into the game and never trailed. Justin Tankelewicz's three-pointer with 4:25 left in the first half gave N.C. Wesleyan its largest lead on the first half at 30-6. The Panthers closed the half with a 13-7 run, including four points each by Rashad Reed and Nick Helton. Jamal Scott's layup with 10:18 left in the second half cut the lead to 10 points, but the Bishops hung on for the win.
