FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's basketball game tonight at home, falling 85-65 to visiting Emory & Henry College at Swartz Gym.

Ferrum jumped out to an early 8-4 lead, only to see the Wasps use a 10-5 run to take a 14-13 lead. Ferrum went back out in front on D'Andre Mullen's three-pointer, but Chase Branscomb hit a three-pointer on the Wasps' next possession to take the lead for good. Emory & Henry John Shelor had a game-high 27 points to lead Emory & Henry. The Wasps won the rebounding battle 50-31, including 19 on the offensive side.

Coach Tyler Sanborn's team will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 2, at Washington and Lee University. The non-conference game gets underway at 4:00 p.m. in Lexington, Virginia.
