FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College fell 6-0 to Lynchburg College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference field hockey action tonight at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Ferrum (3-10, 0-5 ODAC)

Lynchburg: Lerro 2 goals; Brittany Claybaugh 2 goals; GK Laurel Nicks 25 min, 0 saves
Ferrum: GK Mia Holmes 62 min, 17 saves

"Our women played tough tonight. Lynchburg is a great squad and I thought we did a pretty good job of slowing the play at moments. It was really a two and a half minute stretch where we lost our focus and gave the game away. We've got to learn to stay engaged and composed, even in periods of chaos. Now we look to bounce back in front of our awesome home fans during Homecoming this weekend." -- Head Coach Carrie Hanshue Austin

Coach carrie Hanshue Austin's team will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20, at home against Easter Mennonite University during Ferrum's Homecoming and Family Weekend. The ODAC game gets underway at 11:00 a.m.
