FERRUM, Va. -- Sierra Magdaleno had a pair of goals as Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference field hockey game this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium. The game was the league opener for both teams.
Bridgewater (4-4, 1-0 ODAC)
Ferrum (2-6, 0-1 ODAC)
Courtney Cooke got the Eagles on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal in the 16th minute of play. Carolina Quigley then scored back-to-back goals in the 31st and 3rd minutes to give Bridgewater a commanding 3-0 lead. Magdaleno helped trim the lead with goals in the 54th and 58th minutes of play. Cooke scored an insurance goal with 23 second left in regulation
