Field Hockey Falls 2-1 at Goucher

TOWSON, Md. --Ferrum College's field hockey team fell 2-1 on the road to Goucher College in non-conference action this afternoon at Beldon Field.

Ferrum (0-4)

Valerie Mendoza and Jackie Juarez scored goals to lift Goucher to the win. Dominique Harper scored with 33 seconds left in regulation to help Ferrum avoid the shutout. The Gophers outshot Ferrum 19-3 and closed with a 16-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Austin's team will be back in action Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16, with a pair of home games. The Panthers face Wilson College Saturday at 1:00 p.m., then take on St. Mary's College of Maryland Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
