FERRUM, Va. -- Robbie Edwards' two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning lifted Roanoke College to a 7-6 Old Dominion Athletic Conference baseball win over Ferrum College tonight at Panther Field. The home run was Edwards' third of the night.

Roanoke scored two runs in the second inning on Edwards' two-run homer, and two more in the third to grab a 4-0 lead. Ferrum answered with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, including Matt Yarbrough's two-run homer and Brandon Roberts' solo shot, both over the left field fence.
Tim Ortega's RBI single down the left field line in the sixth inning drove in another run to make it a 6-4 game. Roanoke got a run back in the seventh on Edwards' second homer of the night, a solo shot to left. Edwards then hit his third homer of the night, this time a two-run blast off Ferrum's scoreboard just over the left field fence.
