ASHLAND, Va. -- Ferrum College's baseball team dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference games to #15 Randolph-Macon College, falling 6-1 in the opener and 13-5 in the nightcap this afternoon at Estes Park.
Randolph-Macon (19-7-1, 14-4-1 ODAC)
Ferrum (20-15, 11-8 ODAC)
Nick Roth pitched a complete nine-inning game with five hits and 10 strikeouts to get the win for Randolph-Macon in the opener. The Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning and never trailed. Grey Sherfey had a pair of base hits for Ferrum, hitting out of the #9 spot in the lineup.
Ferrum jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning of game two, including two runs on Kyle Anstice's homer to left center. The Yellow Jackets responded with five runs in the bottom of the frame to grab the lead. Randolph-Macon led 7-5 after six innings, then exploded for six runs in the seventh to break the game open. Starter Michael Zubovich earned the win to help R-MC complete the sweep.

Coach Ryan Brittle's team will be back in action Tuesday, April 23, at home against Roanoke College. The ODAC game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start at Panther Field.
