GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Ferrum College earned an Old Dominion Athletic Conference baseball win this afternoon on the road, beating Guilford Colllege 11-5 at Edgar H. McBane Field.

Ferrum jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning off Kyle Anstice's RBI double down the left field line and Josh Greenway's ground out to second base. The Panthers scored three more runs in the second, including a pair on Tim Ortega's single to right field. Connor Dopp's single to right field drove in a run in the third, then Greenway singled up the middle in the fourth to add another run and to make the score 7-2.
Christian Campbell's single to right field in the sixth inning drove in another run to make it an 8-2 game, then Ferrum added three more in the eighth, one each off singles by Ortega, Greenway and Brandon Roberts. Starter Drew Calohan pitched seven frames to collect the win with four strikeouts.

Brittle's bunch will be back in action Saturday, April 13, at home against Shenandoah University. The ODAC doubeheader is scheduled for a noon start at Panther Field.
