NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Ferrum College's baseball team fell 10-4 in non-conference baseball action to #13 Christopher Newport University this afternoon at Captains Park.

Grey Sherfey grounded out in the second and fourth innings, both times allowing Tim Ortega to score from third. Drew Calohan's double to center field in the fourth drove in Christian Campbell to put Ferrum out in front 3-1 through three and a half innings.
CNU scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, five in the seventh and two in the eighth, then held on for the win. The Panthers scored their final run in the eighth inning when Kyle Anstice singled through the left side, driving in Jake Martin.

Brittle's bunch will host Oneonta State (N.Y.) Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 16-17, in a three-game non-conference series. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m., then a single game Sunday at noon.
