Beginning with the inaugural class of 1994, the Ferrum College Alumni Association and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics have honored outstanding former Panthers by adding their names to the ever-growing roster of the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame. The by-laws state that a nominee must:
- be an alumnus/alumna of Ferrum College and have graduated or transferred from Ferrum at least 10 years prior to nomination. If not a graduate, nominee must have attended Ferrum for at least three semesters. Honorary members, such as coaches and others who made a significant impact on College athletics, may also be considered.
- have excelled in one or more sports while at Ferrum and exemplified the highest ideals of college athletics and sportsmanship.
- have gone on to realize significant achievements in their community and/or chosen career field, personifying the spirit of Ferrum’s motto, “Not Self, But Others.”
