Enda Crehan

Enda Crehan comes to Ferrum College from Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia, where he served as Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Assistant Athletic Director for International Athletic Recruitment. Crehan posted a 40-16-6 coaching in three years at helm of the Patriot men's soccer program, with his team being ranked as high as 13th nationally by NJCAA and NSCAA polls. In Crehan’s inaugural season, he was named Region X Coach of the Year and recruited and coached the NSCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year, three NJCAA All Americans and five Academic All-Americans.

At Patrick Henry, Crehan acquired a reputation for moving players on to play at four-year institutions, including Virginia Tech, Christopher Newport University, Greensboro College, Post University, University of Massachusetts and the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley. In Crehan’s role as Assistant AD for International Student Recruitment, he forged relationships with various countries through his international connections in Brazil, Ecuador, Finland, Ireland, and Puerto Rico, bringing diversification to the campus for all sports.

Prior to PHCC, Crehan was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Upper School Teacher at Carlisle School in Martinsville, Virginia, where he held a record of 57-7 in three seasons. In 2011, Crehan was voted VISAA Coach of the Year by his peers, won two Conference championships, and posted two VISAA state runner-up finishes.

Prior to Carlisle, Crehan served as the top assistant at Averett University in Danville, Virginia. At Averett, Crehan helped transform the program into a USA South contender. Crehan has also served as an assistant Coach for the Carolina Dynamo of the PDL and the Head Reserve Coach during the summers months. Previously Crehan has been a Virginia district  Olympic Development Coach and currently serves as an associate staff coach for education with the NSCAA.

Crehan recently completed his UEFA B Coaching License and holds a USSF Youth License and his NSCAA Premier and Master Diplomas. He is a native of Galway, Ireland and holds his Masters in Business Leadership from Averett University as well his graduate coaching certificate from the University of Delaware. Crehan played NCAA Division II soccer at Post University 2005 to 2008.

Crehan and his wife, Tanya, reside in Martinsville with their son Ruairi.
